The restaurant's sleek, modern interior with a distinct Japanese vibe—highlighted by individual booths and a cozy bar area—creates a comfortable and inviting atmosphere suitable for both intimate dinners and group celebrations. Guests frequently commend the freshness and quality of the food, though some note it leans toward the pricier side. Overall, Ginza Izakaya is recognized as a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions, appreciated for its ambiance and culinary offerings.
We eagerly awaited the opening of this Japanese restaurant and decided to visit for date night after we learned they had opened a few months ago. Upon arrival, the staff warmly greeted us and promptly seated us at a table. The interior boasts a sleek, modern design that we found very appealing. The large menu offered a wide variety of choices, and we opted for the Ginza Omakase Course (7-course meal) to sample a range of dishes. Each dish was a work of art, with impeccable presentation and unique flavors that added a special touch to every bite. Although we didn’t enjoy the Chawan Mushi, our attentive waiter noticed and informed the manager. The manager quickly offered to prepare a replacement dish, though we declined as it wasn’t necessary. This thoughtful gesture highlighted the team’s dedication to ensuring a delightful dining experience. The restaurant far exceeded our expectations, and we’re already looking forward to our next visit. We highly recommend this place!
Wanted to try this place out cause I waited forever for it to open! I buy boba next door and I saw the coming soon sign and was invested! I finally saw it open and I wanted to give it a try. Its not a huge restaurant but theres plenty of seating. The vibe is super cool they have the japanese vibe with the individual style booths and tables. Theres a small bar. The staff was friendly and attentive. The plate settings were super cute! The food presentation was really nice. Food was super tasty. The portions are a bit small, but the flavors were spot on. It made it nice because you could share a bunch of things to try. Will definitely come back to try more stuff.
This Japanese restaurant is perhaps one of the best in the area. The food is excellent and tastes authentic. I enjoyed the sukiyaki, which should be highlighted more on the menu (my opinion). I will try their chef's special on my next visit. Service needs a bit of work, but a few training sessions would take care of that.
We had a birthday party for our kid here with about 16 people, and everything was so good! We ordered wagyu, seafood, hot pot, and grilled skewers—everything was super fresh and tasty. The wagyu was so tender, and the seafood was really fresh. Everyone had a great time, and our kid had an awesome birthday. Definitely coming back next time. Highly recommend!
A cozy environment here, with great service. The food was all delicious, if a little expensive. This is a particularly good restaurant for conversation; the booths have good dividers and the lighting is nice. They have a cool private party room on the side, and a bar in the middle/back of the main dining room. One guy complained about the music but what they were playing on September 28th, 2025 sounded good to me. The highlights of this visit for me was the Bluefin tuna nigiri, offered in three types of fat levels, and the pork katsu - an ultimate comfort food. It was also fun when we realized a rocket launch was streaking through the sky and our server joined us in running out to take in the spectacle. It's a classy Japanese spot, very convenient to have on this side of town. I look forward to my next visit.
We stumbled across this absolute GEM last night while looking for a new place to eat. The entire experience was top notch, and so excited that this opened in our neighborhood. The ambiance, interior design, and vibe is perfect. We were sat in a booth which was nice, clean, intimate and comfortable. We had Chicken Karaage appetizer, Yellowtail Jalepeno Hamachi from the Cold Starters, Miso Soup, Scollops, Pork Belly and A5 Waygu Beef from the skewers, 3 sushi rolls - The Bloody Mary, The Toro, and the Spicy Yellowtail, The Beef Noodle Soup, and The Beef Hot Pie. Every single dish was delicious, fresh, well presented and would order again! I almost didn’t write this review because once the word gets out it will be tough to get a table here. Awesome experience overall.
A must needed top notch Japanese restaurant in our area ! Thank you CiCi for your terrific attention to detail! From beginning to end the service was impeccable and the never ending food so delicious! We ordered the Ginza Omakase 6 course menu. So delicious! Everything was so amazing, the freshest Uni I’ve ever tasted!
I think it's safe to say that several folks living in Skye Canyon and surrounding areas were often wondering, "When is that new Japanese restaurant going to open...it seems to be in construction for way too long." Or perhaps I was the only one wondering that. As with any new restaurants, I am never the first person during a Grand Opening. In fact, I don't typically visit any business in the first couple months so they can work out any identified flaws - plus, I know I'll get to it at some point especially if it's written down on my "must-try" list. Regardless, the time had arrived and my family and I tried this restaurant in the late dinner hours on 29 May 2025. It was a little weird walking up to the restaurant because the windows were so dark that it felt like the restaurant wasn't even open, even though we knew it was open. I suspect that the dark windows help to maintain the restaurant's dark ambiance and keep it cool from the Las Vegas summer months, based on where the windows were positioned. When we walked in, we were greeted right away and escorted to our table - I was pleased that the restaurant wasn't full (probably since we were eating a late dinner). We were sitting in one of their booths and immediately, I noticed how narrow the opening was getting in and out of the booth seating. Although it wasn't an issue for us, I can see how other folks that require that "additional space" would have difficulties getting in those seats. Therefore, if you're one of those folks that don't often participate in (public) elevated heart rate activities, I highly recommend you request a regular table; not a booth. The service was impeccable; our main server was highly attentive, friendly, and operated very efficiently. I didn't retrieve her name to recognize on this review; however, on the receipt, it shows the name, "Yenny." Note: Oftentimes, the name on the receipt isn't necessarily your server. Regardless, I was impressed with the entire restaurant staff with respect to service. The restaurant's décor and overall atmosphere was nice. The interior was on the darker side which contributes to the fine(r) dining experience (even though it's a casual spot for customers). I did notice a few things that weren't finished in the restaurant (e.g., opening in the men's bathroom ceiling - probably suited for a bathroom fan/vent; also exposed ceiling wires in the hallway towards the bathrooms - I'm guessing this is for a surveillance camera). It was shocking to see this considering how long it took to open this restaurant...but oh well. We ordered the Sayonara Samurai Cocktail, Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, and Melon Cream Soda for our drinks; Gyoza, Vegetable Tempura, and Lobster Tempura for our appetizers; Chicken Katsu Curry, ISEebi Chili, Spicy Chicken, Kushi Shishito Peppers, Kushi Chicken Wings, Miso Soup and Chashu Pork Bao Bun for our main entrées and sides, respectively; and Honey Toast with Vanilla and Green Tea Mix Ice Cream for our dessert. The star performers were: Curry (not the Chicken Katsu part), Miso Soup, Shishito Peppers, Chicken Wings, Gyoza, and Honey Toast. Whereas, both tempura entrées; along with the Chicken Katsu, Bao Bun, ISEebi Chili, and Spicy Chicken were good; not great. The chicken in the Spicy Chicken entrée was cooked too long (it was kind of tough), and the ISEebi Chili just didn't "Wow" me for the price. Also, I was surprised that rice wasn't served with our entrées. The price-to-quantity/quality ratio was adequate - it's definitely not a cheap family dinner if you're on a tight budget. With tax, our entire bill came out to $160...but a lot of it was my doing because I wanted to try several things for our initial visit. Overall, I loved my first time here, as depicted in my 5-star rating. It wasn't a true 5-star across the board since I had to mark down the food category for the issues/concerns I mentioned earlier, but a "rounded-up" 5-star nonetheless. I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
